Francesco Pierotti

Francesco Pierotti graduated in MM at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome under the supervision of the Maestro Stefano Cantarano.
He previously attended classical studies obtaining the “Doublebass Diploma” at the “Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali G. Briccialdi” in Terni where he met and studied with the Maestro Francesco Fraioli. He currently lives in Italy where he carries out didactic and concert activities, collaborating with several musicians of the national and international jazz scene.

He wrote two important methods on the double bass technique “Finger It Different”.

“This is a marvelous work and many future generations will benefit from it! The idea about scale fingerings is very intelligent. It is a crossover between various schools of double bass. This I really efficient in developing a good left hand technique.”
